This person is excited about developing analytics and algorithms that drive patient insights and support commercial product development. This person possesses technical skills in statistics and mathematical modeling to ask questions and extract insights from data. This person is comfortable working with both data scientists and software engineers to operationalize analytics and can communicate with members across the team to advance business objectives. Responsibilities

This person:

  • Participates in the development of analytics and algorithms that drive patient insights
  • Collects, understands, transforms, cleanses, stores, and shares data
  • Designs and executes statistical analyses, machine learning, data mining, and predictive modeling
  • Cleans, structures, and manipulates data for qualitative and quantitative analysis
  • Develops clear, understandable reports, visualizations, and dashboards to share data insights
  • Collaborates with software engineering team to integrate analytics into commercial products

Experience
This person must have:

  • A BS in Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, or in a related field
  • Proficiency in proper design and execution of statistical analysis
  • At least 2+ years’ experience solving complex data problems by leveraging machine learning, statistics, or data mining techniques
  • At least 2+ years’ experience using statistical tools and programs for large data sets (GraphQL, SQL, NoSQL, SAS, R or Python)
  • At least 1+ years’ experience creating data visualizations (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, Plotly)
  • At least 1+ years’ experience developing efficient and automated processes for data analysis

You will be expected to work collaboratively within an agile software development team to help solve business problems and serve our patient population through our Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) application. This role requires a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of patients by doing meaningful work in healthcare.

You are a self-starter willing to pick up new skills and knowledge while providing new ideas and opinions to develop the best possible solutions. You work well independently and with a team and are comfortable working in a remote environment. You believe that unit and integration tests are an integral part of the development process.

What You’ll Do

  • Craft well-designed and efficient code using innovative development practices
  • Deliver high quality patient focused solutions on mobile and web platforms
  • Author unit and integrations tests for your code
  • Participate in architectural, product, and technical design conversations.
  • Support and mentor your team.

The Platform

  • All services are built with Node/JavaScript, Python, and AWS
  • Frontends are built using React and React Native
  • APIs are built in Node with Apollo and GraphQL
  • Backend technologies include AWS, Google Firebase, Contentful CMS, and Twilio
